We don't have great pictures for scale yet.  One guess is about 120cm tall (waist high on extra).  Another guess is about 100cm tall (bottom of buttocks).  One of the props in the photo is a 2L Pressol Can, so once someone measures one of those we should be able to get really close.

The Toolbox Droid shows up in The Force Awakens

This page is pretty much a stub. There are a few photos and a thread, but we don't know much about the Toolbox Droid yet.

Tidbits

The Toolbox Droid was built for The Force Awakens by Lee Towersey. It was tough to find on-screen. It was Lee's first build for Creature FX.

Lee built it with wooden blocks for the treads. While that looks cool, apparently it was pretty loud on set. Rumor is that whenever the toolbox droid was on set, JJ Abrams would say something like "That thing isn't going to move, is it? It's just going to sit there, right?" Due to time constraints and design challenges, the treads are locked together, so the droid can't turn.

Ironically the only place I've been able to notice it is on the flight apron at the end of the film - and there it is moving.

There are some photos in the Toolbox Droid Gallery

Toolbox Droid is the subforum for toolbox droids. Lee commented a little, but he can't say much.

In this gif it does indeed move, and apparently has the oil can and other tools on top.
