Finally started printing some of the larger parts, here are my versions of the nose cone and backplate. Probably lots wrong but due to lack of clear pictures of the back there is only so much one can do.

Main cone fresh off the printer, nose cone clips on to the front, grille will be glued in place once painted, and the backplate will attach with magnets hopefully ;op
These are test pieces so final parts may change slightly.

Literally a small update, didn’t feel like buying Rose joints / rod ends as there is only movement on one axis so got hold of some 6mm bore 10mm OD and 8mm deep needle roller bearings, might try to find smaller ones yet, and modelled my own to fit 5mm dowel, may change this to aluminium. British currency for scale ;o)

Ok so I have managed to get some printing done and some modelling. Mainly the hub plates and arm shafts, though I’m going to have to reprint the hubs as they need slight tweaks to fit properly. But pleased with how the arm shafts have turned out. (How do I add video via Tapatalk?

Think I have figured out a way to have the tyre deflate at the bottom whilst looking like it is bulging out at the top.
Basically it has a void and thin segments that are raised from an inner thicker core. When printed in TPU the thin segments will squish in when the weight of the droid is applied to them (bottom) and spring back out when there is no weight (Top)
Update:- did a test print of a ¼ section of the tyre in PETG, works perfectly, now to prepare for a looooooong TPU print of the full tyre.

Hmm, yeah, I think kresty mentioned someone talking about something like that as a possible mechanism in one of the early threads here. Good to hear it works in practice.

Ok so long TPU print was semi successful, defects at the top due to segments moving to much whilst being extruded, may try in flexible PLA to see if I get a better result.
Also been working on the side panels but has been slow going as I have a trapped ulnar nerve, leaving my left hand weak and my ring and pinky finger numb. So making sanding very difficult, but at least the power on / off switch fits and will be hidden behind the circular panel, that also hides the mounting bolts. This side will also attach with magnets so the whole panel and the hub plate will come off in one piece to give access to the guts.
