Not a droid - but still something from the movie-prop business that I would like to share with you:
Earlier this year, I watched with my kids the "Back to the Future" trilogy. A little surfing the web convinced me that I needed to have a Flux Capacitor. It was very helpful that I have now access to a laser cutter which also enabled me to cut the acrylic blocks. The Flux Capacitor came out really nice, and it's a lot fun to watch. I still need to debate with my family wether this should be permanently mounted in the back seat of our car...
