More progress, I reattached the legs.

Now that he is standing. Time to paint. The first step is to spray the whole droid silver aluminum color. I removed the sensors and switches and masked all of the openings.

I was never happy with the top, so I attached a piece of sheet metal over the top of the droid.

I then used a custom green/grey color of acrylic paint and used a dry brush technique to paint the whole droid a solid color.

It is okay that you do not cover everything.

I used a custom mixture of red acrylic paint for the details. Also dry brushing it on.

Once the acrylic paint is dry, I then used a screw driver to scuff the paint and reveal the silver.

For the washes of color I used a yellowy sand color first and then a black green.

The legs then got a coat of flat black paint.

Wheathered the hose and the grill for the face plate. Also removed all the masking tape and got the whole droid wired up.
