First, thank you Savage for not laughing too hard. 

Here is the fully assembled droid, painted but not weathered.

To weather the droid, I added scratches in the paint with a flat aluminum color and a dark aluminum color. Then did washes of tan, sand and raw umber for the dirt layers. A black/green wash was used for a more oily look. I then went in and added a rust color and dark copper as accents to the scratches.
