To save the can from becoming unusable, I turn mine the wrong way up, and press the knob, until just the gas comes out.

Yea, that worked for her on the 2nd can, not on the first   So seems like something to try but not count on.   It wouldn't set in the little tires though, it all collapsed into goo.  We added silicone (normal caulk), which seemed like a good idea, but something must've reacted to the uncured foam because the silicone started exploding!  Managed to get it under control...
