Hello from Wisconsin

Hello All! I have built a styrene R2-D2 using Dave Everett's plans over at the R2 Builders Group and now I am expanding out to other droids.

I have started a build of the FX-7 Medical Droid from The Empire Strikes Back. It is primarily a Sintra frame that I plan on skinning in styrene. It will be mostly stationary, but I would like the center section with the horizontal arm to rotate and possible have some moment in that arm and one of the arms in the base.

You can check out my build progress on my blog at http://fx-7central.blogspot.com.

I you are interested I have a blog of my R2 build at http://droidcentral.blogspot.com.

Lots of interesting builds going on here! I am excited to see what is going on!

Happy building!

Kevin

Welcome, and thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing the progress on your build, looks like a tricky one.

The multiple parts remind me of Savage's fusion plant... I mean I know it's not at all the same, but the multiple ribby things remind me of that.

Wow... I wouldn't have even thought of trying FX-7 with styrene. That's great.

Thanks! I am using the same principles of the Dave Everett styrene droid build plans.
