MCK-Y the Lego Mouse Droid Build

Yea, that worked for her on the 2nd can, not on the first Sad  So seems like something to try but not count on.   It wouldn't set in the little tires though, it all collapsed into goo.  We added silicone (normal caulk), which seemed like a good idea, but something must've reacted to the uncured foam because the silicone started exploding!  Managed to get it under control...

We liked this picture.  Took the body off and the cat decided to start playing around with it.  He's actually been playing with everything on the table, kinda annoying.

Cheaper way of powering it though, just put a cat inside it. Although on second thoughts you wouldn't have much control of where it went!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And cats are really, really, really, really lazy workers. (I know mine are) When you give them something to carry they walk two steps and lie down. It probably wouldn't go anywhere!

Plus he'd eat the mouse. Sad

Motor controller blew up:

Figured out that the12V motor didn't like the nominal 12V but really 13.3V battery.  So the brushes probably burned up and that shocked the controller.

Now it's using a normal RC motor and ESC, but we'll have a better motor in time for Celebration.  (14.4V motor)

We've been slowly going through pix from Celebration.  FWIW, we posted a few on MCK-Y's Twitter during the trip, and we've been sticking some more on Facebook recently.  He also has a blog at http://MCK-Y.blogspot.com - but we haven't gotten pix there yet.

Here's one that turned out OK, Savage might recognize this spot...

Well, Lara & I went to BrickCon 2015, which I mentioned on the R2 Builder's site, and on L3-G0's blog (and probably on MCK-Y's blog in the future... Oh, that just happened.)

Here're some pix from there...

First, me walking on water!  Let's see L3-G0 try to do this.

This is a less memorable moment where I tried to find the meaning of "Brick" con.

Doing the tourist thing...

Anyway, L3-G0 and I had tons of fun and were chased by lots of kids (at least that's the part I remember the most.  The therapist says he can help with that).

(And, oh, yea, that L3-G0 won an award, but don't say anything otherwise it might go to his head!)

Ugh, I forgot about smashing into that wall. At least he didn't fall apart at ECCC!

We're out-of-order here.  This is after Celebration, yet I've posted no Celebration photos.

Love this one because it's reasonably subtle:

Here's another

Wish I'd thought to get this angle with just MCK-Y
