Well, I guess we learned more, for sure! Way awesome to see (even if I do hate that little droid). Impressive piece of technology.

(Notice, however, when it moved forward the dome had to move forward on the body to keep it in place. I stand by my assertion that the high speed version we see in the trailer is CG.)

Rewatching the video, I think it's an overgrown Sphero on the bottom, and a balancing bot on the top. The top can move around w/o pushing the bottom around, but when the bottom gets too far over, the top starts climbing back up to the top.
