But it's easier to see in the white photo
The texture of the acrylic panels I used isn't really noticeable at all IRL (in real life) from most any normal distance. The choice is primarily that's the panel I found when we were looking at Home Depot, and we thought it might work.
My biggest fear for it is if it'll trap dust, but if so we can always swap it out later when COVID makes it easier to get flat plastic.
