LIN droids - I found this photo, so I started a thread
#1
These LIN series "Demolitionmech" (wookiepeedia) droids have come up a couple times, but usually the discussion is pretty short since we don't have a lot of reference material for them.

The photo I found was while looking up Treadwell info.  I stumbled into rediscovering an early Dec 1977 "Electronics Today International" article about the robots in Star Wars.

I didn't see this frame in the film, so I guess it was an outtake or promo or something.

Some reference photos from the starwarsscreencaps.com web site.  They don't have the detail of the interior views, but you can get an idea of the tracks.  Seems similar to the treadwells?

I've stuck these in the new images reference section for LIN type droids.

I'm currently building a LIN in 1/6 scale (I collect 1/6 scale droids).
It's nearly complete.

Those are super cool, SFM. I think your models, even just photos like those, will be a big help to any wanting to build a full size one, too.
