Ah, I didn't realize you were waiting for a name Smile

Is it "Bowling Ball"? Or "Beach Ball"? Or ???

Oh, Ball Bearing could also be a BB.

I've been wondering what "BB" stood for, there're so many candidates.  Apparently it's basketball, at least in Lego

I assumed it didn't stand for anything. R2 doesn't stand for anything. They're just letters combined with numbers.

I pretty much agree.  IT's just way too close to "Beach Ball", "Ball Bearing", "Bowling Ball", and a bajillion other things with "Ball" in their names.  Hard to shake the connection once it's made.  Particularly when people say things like "have you see that trailer with the new beach ball droid?"
